Frequently asked questions.

Therapy can help you understand yourself more clearly, handle stress and difficult emotions with more steadiness, and change the way you relate to the people in your life. Many people find their relationships, decisions, and sense of self shift in meaningful ways.
It also asks something of you. Looking closely at painful experiences can bring up feelings like grief, anger, fear, or shame, and things sometimes feel harder before they feel better. As you change, your relationships may change too. There are no guarantees, but we’ll pay attention to how the work is affecting you and adjust as we go.

I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes so I can offer that time to someone else who may need it. Appointments changed with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.

I am licensed as a psychologist in California. Telehealth services are generally available only when the client is physically located in California at the time of session. If you will be outside California, please discuss this in advance so Dr. Josh can determine whether services are legally and clinically appropriate.
I’m here when you’re ready.
